ZWO H-Alpha 7nm narrowband filter (36mm)

SKU: ZWO Ha7nmD36 Categories: , ,

The ZWO Hydrogen Alpha (H-Alpha) bandpass filter is suitable for viewing of faint emission nebula of H-Alpha line in full moonlight or in severe light pollution.

Emission nebulas  are clouds of glowing gas, which only emit light at discreet wavelengths which require filters for improved viewing and photographing. The strongest emission wavelength in a hydrogen nebula is in the deep red part of the spectrum known as the hydrogen-alpha line at 656nm.

Key features:

  • Ideal for viewing / capturing faint emission nebula of H-Alpha line in full moonlight or in severe light pollution
  • Reduces transmission of certain wavelengths of light
  • High quality optically polished to ensure accurate 1/4 wavefront
  • more than 80% transmission at passband
  • Infrared wavelength 700nm – 1100nm cut-off
  • Precision off-band blocking
  • Multilayered anti reflection coating
  • Small spectral gap to minimize effect of light pollution
  • Parfocal – thickness  2mm
